According to 【TripAdvisor】, this temple is the most popular spot in Kamakura.   It is said the temple was opened in the 8th century by a Buddhist monk, Tokudo. A high-ranking nobleman, Fusasaki Fujiwara invited him because he had opened Hasedera temple in Nara before.   The temple is dedicated to eleven-faced Avalokiteshvara.
